2016-2017 ISC Ambassadors
Meet your Columbus State University International Studies Certificate Ambassadors! These students were chosen to share their international studies experiences across campus. If you are interested in the International Studies Certificate program, or just want to talk with a student who is going through the process of pursuing the international studies certificate, they are happy to assist you! Stop by during their walk-in advising hours at the International House on main campus, or send them an email. Hannah Turner - Spring 2017
Walk-In Advising Hours: Wednesdays 12:30-2:30pm
Major: Mathematics Secondary Education
Reasons for Pursuing the International Studies Certificate: I want to gain global experience and knowledge to view my future profession from an international perspective.
Countries Visited: England
Favorite Study Abroad Memory: The tour companies in England offer day trips to amazing places for a very affordable price. One weekend, I decided to sign up for a trip to Oxford and the Warner Bros. Studios on my own. It was so nice to wander the town of Oxford for a few hours, exploring the different colleges, visiting the local museums, and window shopping at all the old bookstores, and, of course, being a huge Harry Potter nerd, I was beyond delighted to view the movie sudios and their countless props and sets. I'm so thankful that this study abroad trip allowed me to take personal excursions like this one.
Favorite Travel or Internationally Themed Quote: "Not all those who wander are lost." -J.R.R. Tolkien
Best Advice to Classmates Who Want to Pursue the ISC and Study Abroad: Never lose hope. If the expense is the issue, CSU offers so many financial aid options. If your heart truly longs to study abroad, Columbus State will make it happen.

Favorite Travel or Internationally Themed Quote: "Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it greatly on these accounts." –Mark Twain
